Lana'i Dolphin Adventure-Rafting

Lana'i Dolphin Adventure-Rafting

My Favorites about this trip:
•    Travel to and see another island from the water.
•    You get to ride an exciting Explorer super Raft which has both an on-board restroom and shaded seating. (the only rafting company with a restroom on-board)
•    Super rafts provide more snorkeling time and less travel time.
•    Snorkel a diverse and remote sites with a smaller group of people and not 300+ people.
•    You may encounter whales during the whale season (December-May)

Snorkeling

Maui is known for some of the most incredible snorkeling in the world. Maui has numerous beautiful snorkeling areas as close as in front of your Maui hotel or condo.  You may also take one of our Maui Boat Tours to Molokini, a most popular snorkeling area.  Molokini is a fish sanctuary off the coast of Maui and is most commonly used for snorkeling. When you snorkel in the crystal blue waters of Maui, you can expect to see beautiful reefs and exotic sea life and many colorful reef fish.  You may even take a short Boat Trip to Lanai for a change of scenery.  We can help guide you to the best Maui Snorkeling Spots from where you are staying. Maui’s warm water is home for countless breeds of tropical fish and amazing coral reefs.  Most Maui snorkel spots are easily accessible.  One of my personal favorite spots for snorkeling is “Black Rock” at Ka’anapali. “Black Rock” is used as cliff diving, rock climbing, and snorkeling. At night, you can hear the drums as they announce the beginning of The Luau.  Maui luaus are a fabulous place to have dinner and share in the traditional experience of this ancient event.

Molokini is a volcanic crater that is now designated as a State Marine Life and Bird Conservation District. Molokini is an uninhabited, partially sunken volcanic crater 2.5 miles off the coast of Maui, Hawaii and has a land mass of 23 acres. Molokini is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho'olawe and is now a beautiful underwater sanctuary for marine life. Molokini’s crescent shape provides protection from high surf and strong ocean currents making this area one of the top ten diving and snorkeling sites in the world. Molokini’s back wall drops off to depths of 300 feet. Inside the crescent shape is a reef area with clear crystal clear views. These waters are home to about 250 species of beautiful fish and colorful coral gardens. To protect the reef and allow it to grow, the Hawaii State Division of Boating and Recreation established mooring buoys for Molokini.

Useful Information:
•    Leave your valuables and jewelry in your hotel or condo. Swimming in the ocean will cause your fingers to shrink and you may lose your new wedding, engagement, anniversary ring.
•    Do not walk on the island as it is a protected marine preserve;
•    Do not feed the marine-life, remove anything from the area, or approach sea turtles or seals.
•    Do not attempt to kayak to the island as the currents between Maui and Molokini are very strong
