Private 2-Hour Surf Lesson
Private Surf lessons are 2 hours and offer the specialized attention that allows the student to progress faster with the additional one-on-one attention. The private lesson enables the surf instructor to give constant attention to the student, which means more direct feedback and the chance to catch many more waves. Private lessons are recommended for those serious about learning how to surf, intermediate/advanced surfers looking to expand their skills, or small children (under 8). Private lessons begin based upon the surf students schedule.
Surfing: “Maui Wave Riders” specialize in all levels from beginning to advanced. The classes are 2 hours long and include all surf gear: rash guard, water booties and surfboard. The lessons include an approximate fifteen minute land lesson on all the basics of surfing, emphasizing water safety. The rest of the time is spent with an instructor in the water teaching the student how to catch their own waves along with some great surfing tips! Guaranteed the longest water time, and after the class the students an continue surfing on their own (providing the boards are available). Our professional instructors are CPR/First Aid trained and provide quality surf lessons with a passion for teaching surfing. They are excellent in water safety and have a strong knowledge of surfing.
Private lessons are 1 student to 1 instructor.

Lahaina Availability: 8:30am, 11:30am, and 2:30pm
Parking: Free 3 hour parking is available across the street from the shop at the corner of Prison and Front Street. Paid parking is available behind the shop. Additional parking is available at the corner of Shaw and Front Streets and under 505 Front Street shops and restaurants.
Kihei Availability:7:30am*, 9:00am, and 10am*

Kihei location:1975 South Kihei Road in the Kihei Marketplace. Check in at the MWR office located at the front of the property facing South Kihei Road adjacent to the 76 Gas Station.
Parking: Free Parking is available across the street in the Kalama Parking Lot.
